If you are not seeking institutional accreditation (like a university educating to a degree or licensing standard) and you are not seeking to grant certifications for a specific job task (like Personal Training), you may instead seek continuing education program accreditation.
Educational program accreditation seeks to establish that your continuing education and training program meets a set standard, applicable across all your organizations continuing education and training that ensures high-quality instruction. Instead of accrediting a course, establishing a certification, or accrediting an institution's degree program, you can accredit your organization’s ability to offer high quality continuing education and training.
While there are different organizations through which to gain continuing education program recognition, the LAB recommends The International Accreditors for Continuing Education and
Training (IACET) due to its global recognition and affiliation with the American National Standards Institute (ANSI). The LAB has successfully achieved educational program accreditation for multiple organizations through IACET.

Institutional Accreditation typically applies to an entire institution, indicating that each of an institution’s parts is contributing to the achievement of the institution’s objectives, although not necessarily all at the same level of quality. The various commissions of regional accrediting associations, for example, perform institutional accreditation, as do many national accrediting agencies.
Specialized or Programmatic Accreditation normally applies to programs, departments, or schools that are part of an institution. The accredited unit may be as large as a college or school within a university or as small as a team within a department. Most of the specialized or programmatic accrediting agencies review units within an institution of higher education that is accredited by one of the regional accrediting commissions. However, certain accrediting
agencies also accredit professional schools and other specialized or vocational institutions of higher education that are freestanding in their operations.
The LAB has successfully implemented government standardized apprenticeships in multiple states, and opened the first two Personal Training Vocational Schools in the state of New York. Later, the LAB expanded those schools to the state of Massachusetts.
